Apparently the base Corvette LS3 engine’s output of horsepower wasn’t enough for custom car maker LOMA Performance as they have come out with their version of perfection dubbed the C6.BlackforceOne that boasts 794 horsepower. LOMA Performance, which is known for their innovative custom design of Corvettes and other exotic cars, has left nothing out in this redesign of a car that is already near perfect by every definition of the word.

The company describes the custom C6.BlackforceOne as the ‘Air Force One’ of Corvettes and it combines over the top looks with over the top performance. The C6.BlackforceOne has the hints of the stock Corvette, but goes above and beyond in every category to prove it is much more.

The body is a full nine inches wider than the stock Corvette and the designers were more than liberal in their use of carbon fiber. One look at the C6.BlackforceOne and you will spot many of the carbon fiber upgrades that adorn the body such as the wheel arch extensions and the side skirts. Combine that with the unique look of the front lip, the rear diffuser that features integrated LED reverse lights, round day time running lights, and the optional spoiler and you have a Corvette that is miles away from the ordinary.

The interior is reworked and features many subtle and not so subtle additions. The overall look of the C6.BlackforceOne’s interior has been compared to the look of the Stealth Bomber’s interior and it probably gives much the same thrill.

Under the hood lies a true monster. LOMA starts with a base Corvette to build the C6.BlackforceOne and then pulls out the stock LS3 engine and then lays in its place a custom built 7.0 liter twin turbo engine that is LS based and capable of putting out the power. To stop the monster the C6.BlackforceOne relies on Mov’it brakes on all four corners. Of course a LOMA adjustable coil over suspension is used to give the C6.BlackforceOne its perfect ride.

The C6.BlackforceOne looks extremely fast and its performance matches its looks as the machine is faster than you can imagine. The car is capable of doing a 0 to 60 miles per hour run in only 3.4 seconds with top speeds that exceed the 200 mile per hour mark as well. To put it bluntly, the C6.BlackforceOne is bad fast.

So what’s the bottom line for such performance? LOMA says it produced the C6.BlackforceOne to prove that the Corvette is the best sports car in the world and with one look at the numbers it is certainly hard to argue with their statement. If you plan on owning one of these bad boys you better have deep pockets as the LOMA C6.BlackforceOne comes with a price tag that is just under $280,000, still a bargain for what you are getting. At a limit of only 25 per run, you can bet that these super exotic Corvettes will indeed sell out to a lucky few who can afford to own such a thrill ride and will leave them with something that can compete with anything that the street or track can dish out.

Tune in for a better performance. Does that sound confusing to you? Well, if you have never tuned your car before for improving its performance, then you will not know. Tuning helps to ramp up performance and overall style of a car. There are many ways to ramp up car performance. Customization require adherence to certain modifications, but it is always advisable to go for the ones that offer real benefits in terms of road performance, and not just style and good looks. Here are some tips to help you improve performance of your car while still keeping good looks of your vehicle intact:

- Custom Tires: Custom tires are all about a firmer grip than that assured by most other standard options. Do not opt for tires made from softer compounds, although the Z rated tires of this category offer a fairly firm grip. Such tires wear out much more quickly than tires made of hard rubber, and that calls for more frequent tire replacements. However, having a spare set of tires can eliminate this car problem.

-Custom Wheels: Get your wheels custom made for a better hold on the road or tracks; but while doing so, always stay back from wheels made from chromed steel. Much heavier than Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) wheels, these chromed steel wheels can detract your car performance.
The purpose of tuning a car is to lighten the engine load, and not adding to its weight. So, opt for wheel types which have aluminum rims rather than chromed steel circumferences. These are not only much more stylish and lightweight, but also offers real-time performance benefits.

- Body kits: If adventure and speed allure you the most, get body kits to add sensational racing car-inspired style to your car; but before you buy one, get to know about the various kit compositions.
Body kits comprising front bumpers, for example, helps to streamline a car well facilitating air to flow over the vehicle, rather than underneath the ride. Side skirts also help ameliorate car performance and its hold on the road surface. Besides, spoilers provide more downward thrust on the rear side of the car, while systematically diffusing the flow of the air.
